Note to self: Do not drink coffee before bed.

1) It will cause you to stay awake for hours while trying to get a good night’s sleep, which is just plain annoying and

2) You will inevitably have messed-up, but realistic dreams nightmares involving befriending your ex, wearing a radio outside of work and still picking up the signals, telephone boxes that actually contain telephones and are not the tardis, getting your car destroyed by a sweet old lady who managed to hit 2 at once (but she’s so tiny and frail that you feel bad for yelling at her), and spending the entire time wearing someone else’s oversized, smelly shoes. 

My assignment for Drawing & Painting - we had to choose a well-known painted figure from modern art history, and render it in a composition with a contemporary building. This one is a bit unfinished still, I think, but I was expecting to have all day to work on it yesterday and I got called in to work so I was a bit pressed for time. Also, you can’t see from this picture, but the bottom of the painting actually has coffee grounds mixed in with the paint to create more realistic looking grass. The reference pictures I used were Rene Magritte’s “Son of Man” and this contemporary building  View high resolution
